A vision of my life and all the glory and beauty that may be
Held captive and imprisoned, where only hope can see
Thrown down, forsaken, stomped into this tomb of clay
Hidden, rejected, laying lonely in the loamy decay
Heaven itself thunders it's scorn and rains down it's watery wrath
Drowning me in the deluge, I am undone in the aftermath
Bursting at the seams, rupturing here from the very inside
Exploded, and broken open, no longer able to hide
The radical release anchors me here to the sodden soil
Drinking in the tears wrought from my desperate turmoil
Strengthened by such struggle, I will choose to stretch and reach
Pushing past the obstacles, breaking forth, heavy barriers to breach
Breathing in the breath of new light, I see all things new
From this bright and sunny place, I see the struggles with a clearer view
What once I deemed distress, I find twas grace instead,
Where I saw scorn and wroth, I read his love o'erspread
The rupture I despised, gave visions and and hope new life
Birthing it unto faith, to overcome such strife
Now I stand, stretching up to kiss the sky
Growing up and sprawling out for the glory of The Most High
Though storms may bluster, and winds may gust,
My roots dig deep and I find nourishment to grow and trust,
I shall be a tree of life, set in the garden of His love
Releasing fragrant fruit, and becoming a resting place for the dove.
2 Corinthians 9:7 says, "Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver." So whatever you decide to give, give it in love and know that it is being used to uphold the kingdom of heaven and the work of the of Lord. Each contribution is stewarded well and received with gratitude. THANK YOU!
